My first day at college

 My First Day of College

It was a quiet first day of college. I reached my hostel room to find that my roommate had yet to arrive. Hence, I was alone through the entire day. Everything was new—room, campus, people. Though there were people around me, I did not really interact with them. I was by myself through the entire day. I just observed everything around me.

 However, my orientation was a turning point in my day. The orientation was well-planned and made me feel comfortable. I felt like I was home. The seniors around me were friendly. Hence, by the end of the first day of college, though I was still alone, I felt like I was home.
